little wooden block portraits

Slowly but surely getting more paintings posted.....neck warmer season is almost over.....

Wednesday, February 2, 2011

I decided to paint a few more paintings today. It's funny how after I get about 3-4 of them finished, everything else goes down hill from there. I suppose I'll just let the urge to paint to build up again....and hopefully all will be good.

Must paint or will lose it....

With all my projects ranging from sewing to painting to sculpting, it is nice to be able to switch back and forth between them. Don't get me wrong...I love making neck warmers....but 10 hours a day or more can be a little trying on the wrist and mind! I am taking some time to get back to my little wooden block paintings. So let's listen to some music and try to relax now, thank you.

To all the ladies....

The Pause by Lonnie Barbach, Ph. D
If there are any young women who are beginning to fear they are losing their minds....please take time to look into this book. Of course it's known that hormones affect us, but this book puts it into a little more perspective.

Oh, the joy of the constant mental and physical fluctuations of being a woman!

This book discusses both menopause and perimenopause. Perimenopause is the stage of transition into full on menopause. Symptoms range from: fuzzy thinking, mood swings, depression, fatigue, achy joints, and anxiety just to name a few.

Women can begin to feel the effects of perimenopause as early as their 30's.

The Morning Begins

Lilly has taken to being tucked in on winter mornings. A perfect beginning to every work day. I take time to appreciate it and it fuels me for the hours ahead.
